local
supporter, vincent harris, donated this 1979 dodge transvan motorhome to
for use in a new program.
the program will be a mobile arts, education, and recreation program that will be run out of our newly acquired and soon-to-be renovated (using calibamboo materials, solar panels (hopefully) and other donated materials) mobile vehicle. the goal of the program is to help supplement school and community youth programming that has suffered funding cutbacks in recent years.
This program will focus on under-performing schools, diverse socioeconomic groups, and low-income communities where children and youth often do not have access to creative or athletic programming in their classrooms or after-school/community programs due to city and state-wide budget cuts. rather than bringing kids to a centralized
location to participate in creative workshops, which requires funding and staff time on the part of schools and other community organizations, we will bring the programming and our volunteer staff to them.

thanks vincent! shannon lindsey-frugis of

is currently seeking donations in the form of cash & in-kind services for the following needs related to getting the vehicle up and running and renovated: tires, paint, solar panels, roof racks, bike racks, art supplies, oil changes, fuel credits, sports equipment, stereo, etc… please contact us if you would like to learn more about supporting
